Take Action and Help Defend Amendment A
ACTION ALERT #1:
Call Pennington County Sheriff Kevin Thom at: 605-394-6113
The office is open from 8 am to 5 pm MST. Tell him to withdraw from the lawsuit against Amendment A. Tell him that by filing the lawsuit in his official capacity as Sheriff, he is misusing his elected position and abusing public funds. Please be civil when leaving your message.
ACTION ALERT #2:
Your tax dollars should not be used to fund a lawsuit that would overturn Amendment A and invalidate the will of South Dakota voters.
Please make the two phone calls listed below. Tell them that you strongly oppose the state government's decision to use taxpayer money to fund the lawsuit. And tell them that Colonel Miller should withdraw from the lawsuit because he filed it in his official capacity as Superintendent of the Highway Patrol.
Call Craig Price, Department of Public Safety Cabinet Secretary: 605-773-3178
Call Colonel Rick Miller, Superintendent of the Highway Patrol: 605-773-3105
Please be civil when making these calls and leaving messages. Insults and cursing do not help our cause. That being said, be firm and direct when delivering your message.
Call weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm CST. And recruit a few friends to make calls as well! Thank you!
ACTION ALERT #3:
Call Governor Noem at 605-773-3212
Tell her office that you oppose her decision to spend taxpayer dollars on a lawsuit that would overturn the will of the people.
Call between 9 am and 5 pm CST. Please be civil when making these calls and leaving messages. Insults and cursing do not help our cause. That being said, be firm and direct when delivering your message: it's wrong to spend taxpayer dollars on a lawsuit to repeal Amendment A, which was approved by a majority of South Dakota voters on Election Day.
