SDBML Needs Volunteers

We need to collect thousands of signatures from South Dakota voters in order to qualify a cannabis legalization initiative for the 2022 ballot. The signature collecting will be starting soon. In the meantime, we are getting organized.

This signature drive is being organized by South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws, the group that led the cannabis legalization (Amendment A) and medical cannabis (Measure 26) ballot initiatives to victory in 2020.

We are still waiting to hear if Amendment A, the cannabis legalization ballot initiative approved by South Dakota voters in 2020, will be restored by the South Dakota Supreme Court. While we wait, the November 8th deadline to submit petitions and qualify a cannabis legalization initiative for the 2022 ballot (which will be necessary if Amendment A loses in court) is quickly approaching.

We need to be prepared for the worst. So, we are ramping up for a signature drive this fall.

If enough people volunteer, we can and will succeed.
